Theatre Company

The Bertie and Boo Theatre Company was set up with the specific aim of bringing high quality and imaginative theatre to young people and igniting an enthusiasm for the arts. We bring to our work a wide range of performance skills including magic, puppetry, story telling, mask work and role-play.

We have been touring with the ‘ Wonders of the World’ and are currently developing a brand new theatre show.

The Bertie and Boo Theatre Company has recently become involved with the Creative Partnership scheme. The Arts Council has pioneered this exciting National program providing school children across England with the chance to put creativity at the heart of their learning and enrich school life by making the best use of the UK’s creative wealth. The Bertie and Boo Theatre Company have been chosen to work with Hampden Park Junior School in Eastbourne to animate the curriculum (the sciences as well as the arts!). This is a challenge but a very exciting one!

Sarah Brignall:

Sarah Brignall trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq for 2 years. For the past 15 years she has been performing one woman shows as well as performing with companies such as  "The Right Size", "Told by an Idiot",  "Rejects Revenge” and "Trestle" in the U.K. and overseas. She also directs and devises Theatre with companies and one people shows. She devised and directed the children’s show "Wonders of the World" with Bertie and Boo.

Abigail Dooley

Abigail trained at East 15 Drama School and started her career as an actress. After further training with the theatre director and teacher Philip Gaulier, she started directing and has worked with companies including Peopolykus, Told by Idiot and Trestle Theatre Company. Over the last 20 Years she has also successfully taught drama at schools, colleges, universities and drama schools.

Boo Pearce

Boo has a BA(Hons) in drama from Exeter University. She is a professional actress who has toured extensively in productions ranging from Shakespeare to Ackyboum. She loves working with children and has been involved in the magic world from an early age.
