Above expectations!

...the food is too nice. Most of it seems to have been made by local yummy mummies but who cares 'cause they can't half bake. It's really, really child friendly and there's all kind of stuff for them to play with/destroy. Comfy sofas and very friendly staff, too.
My top choice - Yummy

If you liked school and hid things in your desk and were always confused about why anyone would ever need an ink well when you can use ink cartridges then I've got a feeling you will settle in nicely at Bertie and Boos cafe.
It's full of furniture reclaimed from old classrooms, so it helps if your legs aren't too long so you can squeeze them under the desks whilst you tuck into a tasty locally made flap jack, deep flavoured tea or a naughty slice of cake.
It's such a charming place and has the added benefit that it gives a lot back to the community. Rather than frequenting a Costa or Starbucks, think again and opt for something a bit more individualistic. Somewhere with a sense of humour and a personality.
Great for kids, parents and anyone who's young at heart. |
